The closest ski resort to the French Riviera
Gréolières-les-Neiges is the closest ski resort to the Mediterranean coast: ski in the morning, hit the beach in the afternoon. Perched between 1,400 and 1,800 m on the Cheiron massif, it overlooks the sea and the Loup gorges.
You get there through the Loup gorges from Cagnes-sur-Mer (exit 48 on the A8), or via the RD5 from Grasse. The area has around 30 km of alpine runs and 30 km of cross-country trails — the largest Nordic area in the Alpes-Maritimes — plus free parking for 2,800 cars at the foot of the slopes. Without a car, the ZOU! 652 bus runs from Grasse train station and an Envibus snow shuttle serves the resort from Antibes.

Adult and children's alpine skis, boots, poles, snowboards, helmets, sledges and snowshoes: everything is rented straight from the shop, a few metres from the lifts. Gear is fitted on the spot to your size and ability — no roof rack to install, nothing to haul up from the coast. The ski area sits between 1,400 and 1,800 m with around 30 km of alpine runs, a beginners' zone, a snowpark and 76 snow cannons, plus 30 km of Nordic trails — the largest cross-country skiing area in the Alpes-Maritimes.
In practice we kit you out in a quarter of an hour: we take your height, your shoe size and your ability, set the bindings and off you go. If a boot pinches or a ski doesn't suit you, come back and swap it the same day — that is the whole point of renting at the foot of the slopes rather than down in the valley.

From spring onwards the resort turns into mountain-bike terrain: seven waymarked loops, more than 60 km of trails between 1,400 and 1,800 m, an enduro track through the pines and a chairlift open to bikes in summer. We rent adult e-mountain bikes, junior mountain bikes and Baby Van seats for the youngest riders, by the half-day, day, weekend or week. Riding at altitude rather than along the coast means around ten degrees cooler in high summer, no traffic on the trails, and the Mediterranean as a backdrop.
Our adult e-mountain bikes are full-suspension: travel front and rear, which changes everything on the rocky trails of the Cheiron. Battery fully charged at the start, helmet included, and we point you to the loop that matches your level and the time you have — from the 4 km family green to the black that climbs to the summit.

Gréolières-les-Neiges is the closest winter sports resort to the French Riviera — 21 km from the sea as the crow flies. You get there through the Loup gorges from Cagnes-sur-Mer (exit 48 on the A8), or via the RD5 from Grasse. Coming from Vence, Valbonne, Mougins, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Vallauris, Juan-les-Pins or Mandelieu, allow between 45 minutes and 1 hr 10 — with free parking for 2,800 cars at the foot of the slopes when you arrive.
And the argument that counts in summer: at 1,400 m it is commonly around ten degrees cooler than on the coast. That is the difference between an outing you endure and one you enjoy in August.

Where can I rent ski equipment in the Alpes-Maritimes?

How much does ski rental cost in Gréolières?
Skis alone are €13 a day for children and €20 for adults. The full pack — skis, poles, boots and helmet — comes to €17 for a child and €25–28 for an adult. Snowshoes are €11 and sledges €10 per day.
Can I rent an electric mountain bike all year round?
Yes, our e-mountain bikes are available all year. A Baby Van is €15 for a half-day, a junior mountain bike €25 and an adult electric mountain bike €40, with reduced rates up to seven days.
What are the shop opening hours?
The shop is open seven days a week, 9 am to 5 pm. Call +33 6 21 45 80 87 before setting off to check snow cover, which lifts are running or trail conditions.
Do I need special equipment to drive up in winter?
Yes: on the final kilometres, snow equipment (winter tyres or chains) is mandatory when there is snow cover. Without a car, the ZOU! 652 bus runs from Grasse train station and an Envibus snow shuttle serves the resort from Antibes.
